Digital Recording Study Tour - Trinidad & Tobago

Updated: Jul 10, 2020

A delegation of judicial officers from The Bahamas visited Trinidad and Tobago to participate in a study tour from November 19 – 21, 2019 on digital recording. NCSC experts Kenneth Cook and Gillian Lawrence led the delegation, which was comprised of court managers, assistant court managers, judicial supports officers and court transcriptionists. This peer-to-peer exchange afforded The Bahamian delegation the opportunity to learn from the successes and challenges of the Trinidadians’ experience implementing digital recording technology. The delegation observed best practices and participated in presentations on court recordings to learn how to utilize this equipment effectively in their own courtrooms. NCSC collected participant feedback through pre- and post-evaluations, which will be used to inform further trainings in The Bahamas on Digital Recording.
