From June 15 -16, 2018 INL supported a Police Prosecution training in Nassau, The Bahamas. Two legal experts, a law enforcement professional and a former prosecutor, utilized CBSI Connect to train 30 police prosecutors located in Nassau, Long Island, Abaco, Andros, Eleuthera, Exuma, and Inagua. The interactive training covered case management, trial preparation, investigation, and ethics. Prior to implementing the training, the instructors met with key stakeholders to acquire an understanding of challenges facing police prosecutors. They met with the Chief Magistrate, Chief of the Forensics Division, and Head of Police Prosecutors. This training is part of a two-stage police prosecution program. The next stage will focus on trial advocacy; it will be implemented later this year.
